Pharmacy vase in Caltagirone ceramic.
Pharmacy jar with lid, in Caltagirone ceramic. Seventeenth-century decoration coined by the master craftsmen of Caltagirone in full Baroque climate and influenced by Arab-Moorish experiences. The neighborhood decoration, characterized by the subdivision of the plate or vase into bands and quarters, takes its name from the presence of multiple quadrangular parts, resulting precisely from the division of the object into sectors, each of which contains decorative elements (volutes, flowers and foliage), in a blend of geometric elements. The collection is characterized by a lively and polychrome painting, the result of the alternation of colors (blue, green and orange) in the background, which surrounds the individual decorative elements and completes the artifact. Hand-decorated and certified by the Masters Giorgio & Ivano Alemanna
